Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros: Book Review 📖
Book Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
How it made me feel: 🫢🌶️🥰🙁😮
To be honest it took me a min to get into this book but when I was hooked, I was hooked! I loved the fantasy aspect of dragons, magic and the spicy love (enemies to lovers aspect). I loved the tension of the competition and the way the characters are in a war college. The death threats, history of family rivals and the proving of strength kept me on my toes. This book is like a combination of all fantasy books you love. It was like reading an adult version of The Hunger Games meets From Blood and Ash. If your not aware of the versions, read below a snippet of what Fourth Wing is about. You will love it!
About: Violet wanted to follow her dads footsteps into being a Scribe but her mom who is the heartless commanding general forces her to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. Violet is small and fragile and dragons don't bond with humans who show weakness. With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter—like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant. Violet starts using her wits to get by but with the war on the outside growing stronger, wards are failing and she suspects leaders are hiding something. Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda—because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die
