OMG, This book had me so mad at the abusive situation and the shitty life/mom River has to deal with. So many times I wanted to go through the book and punch Ryan in the face. Even though this book has hard situations, I was hooked. I loved the MMC Mako and how River navigated the abuse and ended up with the right person.

About: River McAllister left Shallow River, to escape her mom who sells her body for money and only cares about her next fix. But she also escaped a man her mom and she both fears. Now she's rebuilding her life with her dream man Ryan. Ryan Fitzgerald is attractive, rich, a lawyer, and would do anything to keep River. Ryan might be everything River wants but his anger isn't something you want to see. When her relationship takes a dark turn, Ryan's estranged brother, Mako, is the only one who sees it. He knows exactly what Ryan is capable of, and it's not the first time he had to be a knight in shining armor.
