OMG, I am so glad I stuck with this book and series! Tracy Deonn was so good at building the world in this book. I love the magic in this book at how each one ties into it. The romance building is great and I am all for it. 

I love Bree and how she is overcoming grief, her power and the world she jumped into unknowingly unaware. The twists and turns in this book have been keeping me enthralled even though this series is considered YA, and if this book is on your TBR pick it up. I promise you will love it. 

What's it about: When sixteen-year-old Bree loses her mother, she escapes to UNC on a program for bright young students. On her first night there, she witnesses a magical attack. A mysterious teenage mage who calls himself a “Merlin” attempts—and fails—to wipe Bree’s memory of everything she saw. The mage’s failure unlocks Bree’s own unique magic and a buried memory with a hidden connection: the night her mother died, another Merlin was at the hospital.
